Ana De Abreu

Ana was born in 1985 in Caracas, Venezuela. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in 2009 in Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and Politécnico di Torino under a double degree program between these two universities. After a six month research experience at the University of Southern California under the supervision of Prof. C. -C Jay Kuo, she was a visiting student at LTS4 lab from May 2010 to April 2011. During her stay, she worked on a evaluation of audio-visual monitoring solution project between Cisco and the lab, as well as, in a network tomography through network coding project.

She is currently a PhD student at the EPFL/IST Joint Doctoral program under the supervision of Prof. Pascal Frossard and Prof. Fernando Pereira, with research interests in multi-view video coding and streaming, interaction methods for 3D content and network coding.
